Benefit for the Magnolia Hotel

Benefit for The Magnolia Hotel

 

The producers are having a pre-release showing of their one hour Magnolia Hotel episode called “Emma’s Little Secret” on August 29 at 7:00pm. Pre-purchase tickets are available online at Eventbrite for only $5.00 per person and absolutely all proceeds go towards the restoration of the hotel. The doors will open at 6:00pm allowing for the first 50 guest to receive a free autographed poster of the Strange Town episode and visit with volunteer vendors such as Serenity Boutique, PBS programs, and sales of local author, Janice Woods Windles books. If you would like to know the whole story of little Emma’s sad murder then the book Haunted New Braunfels will also be available. From 8:00-9:00pm, there will be a Q & A session with the producers, the local guest featured in the film, Dakota Zies, Tnisha Sutton, Dawn Sulaica and Susie Rouse Sulaica. The owners of the Magnolia Hotel will also be available. Then at 9:30pm five lucky ticketholders will be drawn for a walk over to the hotel and given a private tour of the hotel by the actual producers. You must be a paid ticket holder and present to win. The producers are recommending all ticket holders bring along their cameras and digital recorders for the Palace Theatre located at 314 S Austin St in Seguin is also known to be extremely haunted and is featured in the soon to be released book called Haunted Seguin by Erin O Wallace. This episode will only be shown in Austin and certain surrounding areas who receive KLRU-Q/PBS in September. You can call your local PBS station to request adding the show in your town. Take this opportunity to watch the first showing of the episode and support the restoration of Seguin’s oldest building still standing tall at 174 years old. "There's a Ghost Story Here" Ghost Tour
October 24 - 25, 2014

Take a one-hour walking ghost tour in Seguin! Learn about the stories that still "haunt" several Victorian-era buildings, go inside the Aumont Hotel- the oldest hotel in Seguin-and the historic Mosheim Mansion were you'll take a tour through this magnificent home and hear tales of the ghosts that have been seen and heard.
