Holiday Stroll in the Park
Thursday, Dec. 3, 6:30 PM
The annual lighted parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. featuring Seguin area school bands, lighted floats and entertainment. Winners of the tree decorating contest and parade entries are announced. City Mayor Betty Ann Matthies lights up Central Park and Santa arrives in his village. The Parade is best viewed along Austin Street between Ireland and Nolte Streets. Friday Dec. 4, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Evening activities kick off at 6:30 p.m.
in Central Park. All local pets are invited to dress in their finest and join the annual Pet Parade. Carriage rides are available (for a fee). Santa will be in his village to visit with good little boys and girls and entertainment is held throughout the evening. Stroll downtown and view beautiful decorated window displays. Tour of Heritage Homes

Tour selected historic and noted homes festively adorned for the Holidays. Sponsored by the Seguin Conservation Society, the tour will begin at 2 PM and conclude at 5 PM. Refreshments will be served. Yulefest Arts & Crafts Sale

An Offering of Worship is an exciting compilation of traditional and contemporary Christmas music led by the First Baptist Church musical staff including members of the Symphony Orchestra. Las Posadas

A Re-enactment of the journey of
Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. Sponsored by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and St. James Catholic Church. The journey of Mary and Joseph is led by a Mariachi band and travels to different buildings in downtown
Seguin. A brief service and refreshments conclude the event. Meet at City Hall in downtown Seguin at 6 p.m. For more information call one of the sponsoring Churches.
 
Country Christmas
Saturday Dec. 19 & Sunday Dec. 20
Presented by the Texas Ag Ed. & Heritage Center, “The Big Red Barn”. Food, entertainment and fun for the entire family. Hayrides, campfires, photos with Santa, animals, live nativity, chuck wagon. Observe pioneer life on the farm with living
history activities including a blacksmith shop, country kitchen, country store, one-room school house, farm house, smoke house and weaving. Admission fee.
