Conservation Society Complex
Located on the corners of S. River Street at Live Oak Street

Los Nogales Museum Los Nogales (Spanish for "the walnuts") was constructed of sun-baked adobe in 1849. The Conservation Society restored the pioneer home and uses it to display local artifacts. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Open Sunday afternoons May through October, and by appointment. (830) 372-0309.

First Church The town's first church was built in 1849 in time to host a Texas Methodist conference. Early circuit riders preached here. This is the oldest surviving Protestant church building in the State.

Calaboose
A century-old wheeled jailhouse used to haul prisoners to work on county roads and to the fields to perform work details such as picking cotton. Moved here from the County Convict Farm, part of the former County Poor Farm.

Campbell Log Cabin The cabin dates back before 1850 when it was built eight miles southwest of Seguin, and was occupied by members of the same family for more than a century. The home features a dog trot, popular in early construction for cooling and used for general family life.

The Doll House A Victorian gingerbread confection built in 1910 by local cabinet maker Louis Dietz for his adopted daughter, Alice. She came from New York City on an orphan train.
